SuperTank, a Dutch chain of petrol stations, has recently turned an exuberant orange. On the so-called Orange Days, SuperTank customers enjoy extra discounts. Orange Days include the playing days of the national football team, orange holidays and important skating competitions. In addition, customers who have their fuel ticket scanned and answer a contest question have a chance of winning 250 euros of free fuel every month. Loyalty is also rewarded: the winner can drive an orange SuperTank Mini Cooper for free during an entire year.
In order to successfully market and streamline this campaign, our in-house digital agency Markedeer developed the digital competition mechanism and the SuperTank app. Through the app, available in the iOS and Android app stores, customers are informed about discounts, the contest mechanism, the monthly winners, and their personal ranking. The app also gives information on the location of the stations, the current fuel prices etc. Parallel to the app, Markedeer also built the new supertankoranjeboven.nl site where customers can find more in-depth information about the content offered in the app. Both the app and the site are linked to a Drupal CMS. Thanks to a Markedeer-developed API (application programming interface), changes can quickly be published on both platforms.
Pubmarket! developed the entire orange concept and also promotes the Orange Days on social media. The petrol stations received a complete set of POS materials including posters, leaflets, flags, banners, and animations for the in-house TV circuit and the LED boards.
