The Covid-19 pandemic put our country in a lockdown from mid March on. Stores were closed and Wijnegem Shopping was forced to close its doors. But ever since May 11, Wijnegem Shopping can welcome visitors again, whilst respecting all the necessary safety measures. They provided a host of new measures to guarantee safety, including separate entries and exits, 1,5 m distance at all times and keeping to the right in all corridors. Safety masks are also provided for all visitors who wish to use them.
Together with Wijnegem Shopping, we’ve decided to format the extra safety measures in a positive way. The focus was on the fact that shopping, even with a 1,5 m distance and other measures, is still fun. An elaborate package of POS material was provided to communicate all measures: floor and wall stickers, signage for entries and exits, communication about the number of people allowed in 1 space and an animated video with all the measures, to be played on screens throughout the shopping center.
For the reopening, we also developed a video with influencers Chloé Vandenbussche and her boyfriend/model Bart De Schuymer. The video shows that shopping in Wijnegem is safe and just as fun. It was used on all the shopping center’s social media channels.
